Tooth Replacement

Tooth Replacement

Tooth replacement is considered for cosmetic as well as functionality reasons. Functional reasons include shifting and/or tilting of nearby teeth, undo pressure onto neighboring teeth that can cause damage/fracturing as well as increasing your chewing and eating capabilities.
Implants
A dental implant is a titanium post (like a tooth root) that is surgically positioned into the jawbone, beneath the gumline, that allows Dr. Berger to mount replacement teeth or a bridge into that area. An implant can also be used to anchor a denture to address a mobility issue, aka: overdenture.

Dentures
Dentures are removable appliances that can replace missing teeth and help restore your smile. If you have lost all of your natural teeth, whether from gum disease, tooth decay or injury, replacing missing teeth will benefit your appearance and your health. Dentures make it easier to eat and speak better then you can without teeth – things that people often take for granted. Dentures come in different types and materials with unique advantages and disadvantages. Dr. Berger will take his time discussing these options to insure the best denture is being selected.
Crown and Bridge
Bridges are replacement teeth that fill the space where one or two teeth are missing. The bridge restores the bite and helps maintain the natural shape of your face.
